I find it very saddening when i see the comments of new kpop fans on idols who are extremely talented in singing but their visual appearance is less appealing compared to other idols.
They have the talent but those fan boards are just bombarding all about their looks and everything but not how good their singing is. They are even labelled lousy and some even mentioned that they need plastic surgery. Whereas, younger idols who are pretty/handsome get comments complimenting them that they sing v well /dance v well despite the fact that they are unable to even hold a tune properly even if it is for a short part, or maybe even depend on loads of autotuning to cover their singing flaws. I mean, if they want to support their idol because of looks, they can for all they want. But, they do not need to degrade other idols who are much better and worthy singers right?? There's totally no respect. Plus, the negative comments were flowing in even before the singer even opened his mouth to sing. Like wth?! The fans just cast a judgement on the singing based on appearance. Tskkk..

Has the kpop world turn into something just visually appealing? Be it appearance or abs for guy idols and nice figure for girl idols?? Is a singer even actually a singer now? Maybe those companies shld just recruit top models instead -_- Also, now almost every kpop group are heading towards the beastly/sexy image. Shorts get shorter and skirts too! And guy idols are ripping their shirt on stage every now and then. Sigh. What will happen to the kpop world in the future :( Totally getting more and more disappointed. However, we cant really blame the idols in going for such image since the music industry is sooooo competitive with the many introduction of new idol grps every now and then. Since fans demand all these, the music companies just make the idols supply all these, to meet fans' desires. So, the cause and effect, it's just all one big round. I guess the old-school kpop with vocal talents can no longer exist now :(

Based on what I feel, the standard of the songs are lowering and as long as idol groups have a LARGE fanbase that they attract due to their good looks, they'll top the charts easily. More good looks members = more fans = larger fan base = more ppl supporting = top music charts. That's how it works now. Well, of course new fans will be attracted to their looks first before even looking at their singing right?? That's human nature, i guess (?)

What will happen to the kpop world in future?? :(

I went to jay's FM @ Sentosa wavehouse yesterday, together with huiyi.
Heheh, she got free tix so i could enter for free. :P
Jay's like so cool! He danced and sang awesomely well. It's the first time ( and maybe my one and only time) im watching a korean idol live.... like so close ohmygosh....!!
I like it when he sang Nothing On You and Demon. And also, the girl group dance. haha. He was so cute when he doing the push push baby~~ and miss A dance :X
Jay ripped off his shirt too!!
It was so sudden that i was shocked -_- Many fans were screaming like crazayyyeee haha. The sad thing was, i was standing really far from the stage with many heads bobbing about in front of me and i couldnt really see quite clearly :( lucky there's the big big screen , but it was kinda blur too.

Besides that, half the time the concert was some random 13 yr old girl (?) and AOM performing. I was totally clueless but I just watched lah. But abit sian-ed diao. =x sorry lah, i only go there see jay , not the rest hahaha.

Ohyah. before that, when we were like queueing up to go in, there was this grp of guys selling the entry tix for 50 bucks. In the end, when they didnt manage to sell it, they burnt it and walk down the queue (showing that they burnt a $120 ticket) -_-ll wth manz. so attention seeking. The ppl in front and behind us were like saying that if they wana burn then burn lor. Anyway it's their own money. It's so sad that they did that. I bet there are many ppl who are more than willing to go if they will just give it to them for free since they are not interested in going. such people ah....tsk

Here's an example of the 4 diff stages that students in schs are at ... and why they are always filled with the invisible question mark above their heads.
it applies to me haha. :X i was at stage 3 and 4 last year...but i think i fell back to stage 1 and 2 -_- DANGER!!**

stage 1:we dont know and we dont know what we dont know
The worst stage to be at. No matter what the teacher says is totally useless cause it's like 对牛弹琴. Catch no ball at all and everything will just enter and exit. Even though something has been taught before but it seems like it's only 5-15% taught. Mind feels totally messy. disordered, and confused. Teachers shld not 'help' but adding on confusion with harder stuff, it'll only add on to the mess. Usually the result from excessive memory loss after lectures(this applies to me.)/stoning/slping/talking w friends.

stage 2: we dont know but we know what we dont know
Grasping some content and clue of what the topic is about. At least have the ability to find the answers to what they dont know. Student will only proceed to stage 3 if they find out what they dont know.

stage 3: we know but we ask hard stuff that we dont know
Can be proven if one can take tests/exams without even studying and finds ease in completing it.
Totally understands what the teacher is talking about, be it nonsense, cold jokes, or interesting concepts.

stage 4: we know but we still ask for the fun of asking it
Feels totally bored out and sian-ed in class. Too bored until trying to spot teacher's mistake or challenging teachers for self-entertainment. Everything is going at snail-pace. Sleeping in class / being absent from sch doesnt make a difference. Can predict what the teacher is going to say anytime / what are they gna emphasize on / understand what they are hinting at .

My computer and itouch ganged up together to play a prank on me!

First, it was my computer. Just 5 minutes after i turned it on, it blacked out and i cant on it again :( Thought it was dead. then after trying v hard to revive it, i could on it again. But then, at the same time, my itouch screen hanged. Like the touchscreen thing was faulty or what and i couldnt press anything!!! xia si wo le! then tried ways and means to off it, but i cant. coz the screen wasnt working. in the end reset it...and it was back to life again. PHEW...
not fun to have my computer spoiling today since i have to do the bio essay thingy. ><
hope it wont die on me when i use later!!

Anyway, ystd was so much fun! Practiced 8x100 with the girls from my class. :D Baton passing...i suck terribly at it. Either i whack chiewkei too hard with the baton until she go 'ouch' if not i miss her hand. Lol. i think my aiming sucks ttm man. I wonder why am i in archery. Pass baton also cannot pass properly -.- hahaha. Arranged our race sequence and did a trial run. Ended up having muscle aches today...plus i ran all the way to sch coz i was late ><

Hehe. hope we can win tmr. Our house is like the only house with the whole team from 1 class :X the other houses are like made up of all those strong sport cca ppl. Geez... scary!
btw, out of the 6 games... our class filled 2 of them. We so enthu right~!! :P

zzz. pissed to the max coz of the archery maintenance stuff. It's just never ending!!
Not like i want to be QM in the first place. T_T i was happily being my AQM and helping noella.
I bet noella is suffering terribly as the captain too manz. it's like so not what we wanted ...these positions...arghhhh.. HAIZ. unexpected changes at the wrong times.

Because of the QM stuff, i every wed and fri have to skip lunch, be tired out before training because of the sauna-like store and stay back to settle maintenance stuff/make arrows-.-?
Then everyone just comes and expect the QM and AQM to help them do stuff like their maid. Fletching arrows, doing nocking point, change string, wax string do this do that.... like all those u all are supposed to learn and do yourself!

Then everyone keep tell me to change this and that 1 by 1. Cant they all just 1 shot tell me?
Im ONE person only. with amalina that's TWO QMs only. we cant split into many parts and settle everyone's stuff immediately. there's so many of u all and only 2 of us!! we also have limited stuff too... not like u wan then we can 'abracadabra' then pop it out for u ...then also gt ppl keep last min tell us need to change this change that, expecting that we have everything everytime.... -_-

supposedly off from cca but not...from the way i see it...zzzz.

( ... & some ppl also keep dowan do his role, make me cover his job ... think i v free ah? maybe now not so much... but i covered shitloads of stuff bcoz of u. )

mmmm , let me recall what i did.

release of a lvl results. o damn scary x.x worse than horror movie. ultimately, it's either u cry or smile. then went for cca + cca dinner after that @ pizza hut (: yumyum! noella zai captain sia, treat whole cca. the bill came down to almost 200 bucks and she tanked it all. wahh! ( ur mother know u sure gg.com lor =x )

met eunice early in the morning at the airport. studied a little until renee ong reached. Went to find renee at t1. o.o saw charmaine there too! :) she was thr to send renee off too. renee said she gg taiwan w carina. kewlz. 2 ppl only. wah i also wan go lea...rawrrrrr! i miss the food there! renee ong will be gone for 6 mths T~T will miss herrrrrrr! ok, erm so we talked abit then gtg cos eunice got work.
went mac to study abit but it was sooooo soooo distracting cos there's this 3 uncles and aunties sitting at the table opposite me. There were talking so loudly at the top of their voices and the topic was : Angbaos. not the $ in it part... but about just the different designs of angbao packets they can get their hands on. Like which bank give what design and how nice it is....even gt sample wor...speechless. -_- how lame can singaporeans get?!

So i decided to go home to prepare for my grandmother's bday celebration... ate alot but im still hungry. I wonder what's wrong with my stomache . hehe.

AND AND.... OH GOSH . i just realised in the evening that wonder girls is coming to singapore today! DARN IT! i sort of like...missed them by just a few hrs. FML. Felt like banging my head on the wall , srsly.

MMZ... recently this year right, there is like a sudden rising trend in korean singers / idols coming to sg to do smth of some sort eg. performance, endorsement, advertisement,audience & etc. like for now,gt SHINee, Brown Eyed Girls, Wonder Girls... the oh joon sung thing. First week of sch alrdy so tiring... how to cope for a year T_T
Everything feels so chiong like f1 car race like that...1 chapter per lecture ley. The teacher will just zoom through it lor.
and I damn dont like my gp teacher leh. @#$@#%#$ rly 2nd and 3rd lesson dont come. ONLY START OF YEAR PLS! can change not.. haiz.
how can teacher like that one ): GP's like so freaking impt and she just heck care us. HAIZ.

On the other hand, we changed our coach and im secretly happy about it ( cause the change was partly my suggestion too hahaha!) ^^ huiyi says she's openly happy about it too and i think many others are. Cause we srsly didnt learn much from the old coach... waste of time + $$! What's more, now our coaching fee is like way way way way cheaper than the old one?! and quality is way way way way way better. =D Plus, the archery range has grass that is SHORT not like the other range which has TALL and UNKEMPT grass (which is damn irritating when arrows go missing coz it's like finding a needle in a haystack). while we were training ystd, they said our old coach walked past the range. haha.GG.com la =x tio exposed. He confirm see us there and wondering why we jump coach. Then he shall have to reflect on their way of teaching le. =P Our new coach is SOOO MUCH BETTER! But... his coaching is strict and tough x.x but i rather have it like that... hehe at least i learnt smth at the end of the day. =)

Cambodia CIP

Hi, im back! =D

Cambodia cip was a blast!! Had truckloads of fun. Made new friends, new experience, new culture, new food( haha!) and new FUN!

No pictures currently... cause i nv bring my cam . gt some in my laosee hp but lazy to transfer. luffs.

Day 1:
Arrived at the airport... hehe Cambodia was about the same temperature as Singapore. Checked into town view hotel. Briefing session followed by sleeping time =D

Day 2,3,4:
Woke up early in the morning and headed to the orphanage. Taught the kids english, had song and games session and we also help to demolish the kitchen.

Their level of the english language were much higher than we initially expected. gg lea. The english lessons were mixed with some games to make it much interesting and engaging.

Then we taught them songs like 'Peace by the River' and 'Joy to the World'. Played games like Chop Chilli Chop, Husband and Wife, What is the time, Mr Wolf?, Dog and Bone.

Also helped demolished the kitchen. Dont think that demolishing is simple work manz. Tired ttm. Need to use the tools to whack the bricks and break them and also carry all the debris out. A small area but takes so much effort, so many ppl and and so much time. Quite an experience.

Interact w the kids and played w them. They taught us their cambodia games and dance. v fun! =D haha. but tio thrashed damn badly by the little boys @_@ Haha oh ya, gt these little boys damn cute lah. duno why they know how to dance the 'Sorry Sorry' by Super Junior. Damn pro can!

On one of the days when we were there, bpgh students also went thr. Then we started singing our sch song damn loudly haha. Mr Koh said that it was the first time he heard such a loooong and loooud sch song and he expect us to do that in sch too. haha!( cause usually ppl just diam thru the whole morning assembly and u can only hear the music playing =x ) LOL.

Finale was awesome!! We sang Peace by the River,Joy to the World and Im Yours for them. Grace and Ernest played the guitar! Then gave the kids lollipops and tied friendship bands that we made specially for them =D

Although it's just 3 days interacting with them but I learnt a lot from them. Can see their happiness even though they live in such conditions and dont have the luxury stuff that we have in Singapore. It's so easy to make them contented... like just playing their games, colouring, doing art work...etc. Hope that we did made a difference in their lives. =)

Day 5:
Recreation day! We were brought to a museum which displayed the genocide stuff that the Khmer Rouge did. Saw the prison cells, it was so cramped and dirty. x.x

After that went to the Royal Palace but couldnt go in cause some officials from Laos were visiting. So we headed to the Russian Market first. Had some experience bargaining and shopping thr. Time was quite tight and we didnt went around the whole place... didnt spend much too. Things there were quite cheap srsly. I rmb on the 3rd day or what... i bought 3 items at the supermarket. woah and i only spent $1.75.=X
Best of all, you can haggle on the price unlike in singapore whr you cant even bargain coz it's all fixed price.

Went to the Royal Palace... quite big and grand. haha! But about the same as that time when i visited Thailand.

Dinner time was on board a cruise on Mekong River. Just a double deck boat and we had louisana chicken or smth. Like kfc type! =D The sunset was glorious manz. (:

Last day we had a special surprise for our teachers who in turn had a surprise party for us. XD Guess what? We sang the FULL sch song haha and presented to them our cards and friendship bands. ( we had to make smth with what we have haha) They loved it and we made them dance haha. Many ppl video-ed it down so im gna loot from them and put it here some other time. :P

Overall, the trip was dang nice and i loved it. Will definitely miss the late night talks, the guys singing the highly out of tune 我的背包！~ on the bus, eating and eating alot of snacks(haha im a greedy pig!) and jo stealing the blanket from me.rawr. =x
